🚀Getting Started

What is SubsVault?

SubsVault helps your family manage your digital subscriptions if something happens to you. You list your subscriptions (like Netflix, Spotify, cloud storage), and if you stop responding to our check-in emails, your chosen family member gets a list showing what to cancel and what to preserve.

How do I get started?

Simply sign in with your Google account. We'll walk you through a quick 3-step setup: tell us your age (for check-in frequency), add a family member to notify, and select your subscriptions from our easy grid.

Is this free?

Yes! The basic service is completely free. You can manually add all your subscriptions and designate beneficiaries at no cost.

📋Subscriptions

How do I add a subscription?

Click "Add New Subscription" on your dashboard. You can either select from popular services (just click the logo!) or add a custom one. All you need is the service name and the email you use for that account.

What information do I need to provide?

Just the service name (like "Netflix") and the email address you use for that service. We NEVER ask for passwords or login credentials. Your family will use password recovery if needed.

Can I add subscriptions that aren't in your list?

Absolutely! Click "Can't find your service? Add manually" and type in any subscription you have. This works for local gym memberships, small services, or anything else.

👥Beneficiaries

Who should I add as a beneficiary?

Choose someone you trust who would handle your digital affairs - usually a spouse, adult child, sibling, or close friend. This person will receive access to your subscription list if you stop responding to check-ins.

Can I add multiple beneficiaries?

Currently, you can add one primary beneficiary. We recommend choosing the most tech-savvy family member who can help others if needed.

What can beneficiaries see?

Beneficiaries can ONLY see your subscription list after you've stopped responding to check-ins. They see: service names, associated email addresses, and whether to keep or cancel each service. They never see passwords.

✉️Check-ins

How do check-ins work?

We send you a simple email asking "Are you OK?" Just click the link in the email to confirm. The frequency depends on your age: quarterly if you're under 40, monthly if 40-65, or weekly if over 65.

What if I miss a check-in?

No worries! We send 3 reminders over 2 weeks before taking any action. Only after you've missed all reminders do we notify your beneficiary. You can always respond to any reminder to reset the process.

Can I pause check-ins while on vacation?

Not yet, but it's on our roadmap! For now, you can access check-in emails from anywhere with internet. The check-in link works on any device.

🔒Privacy & Security

Is my information secure?

Absolutely. We use bank-level encryption for all data. We NEVER store passwords or payment information. Your beneficiary only gains access after you've stopped responding to multiple check-ins.

Do you share my data?

Never. We don't sell, share, or monetize your data in any way. Your information is only accessible to you and (eventually) your designated beneficiary.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account anytime from your account settings. This permanently removes all your data from our systems.

Which browsers do you support?

SubsVault works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.

Is there a mobile app?

Not yet, but our website is fully mobile-responsive. You can use SubsVault on any smartphone or tablet through your web browser.

I'm having trouble signing in

Make sure you're using the same Google account you used to sign up. Clear your browser cookies for subsvault.com and try again. If issues persist, contact support@subsvault.com.
